Teaching

Matthias Beckert teaches as a professor for choral conducting at the University of Music in Karlsruhe. Previously he was professor for orchestra conducting at the University of Musik Detmold and professor for choral conducting at the University of Music Würzburg. He has also worked at the University of Music, Drama and Media - Hanover. and as a visiting professor at the Academy of Music in Kraków.

In addition, he is a jury member at competitions such as the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Competition Berlin or Landeschorwettbewerb NRW and he is in demand as a lecturer for choir conducting seminars, i.a. at the German Choral Society, the Franconian Singer Association, the Thuringian Singer Association, the Maintal Singer Association, the Music for Youth Association, the Choral Academy Siena (Italy) and the European Choral Association "Europa Cantat".
